An area of technology that has got me surfing around for more information is Virtual Museums.
The Newsletter from ITN, The Innovative Teaching Newsletter (December, 2, 2001) vol. 4, (13)
brought to my attention a list of education institutions utilizing the concept of VM's.
The Children's museum of Indianapolis http://www.childrensmuseum.org/games/grades_6-8.htm has a page teacher's can use to enhance a lesson on dinosaurs. I have loved dinosaurs since about age 5, so even though it's been a "Jurassically long time" since I was 5, I had fun playing with these interactive lessons.
Another place that provides virtual interactivity is the California Science Center http://www.californiasciencecenter.org/FunLab/ScienceFriday/ScienceFriday.php
which has a video of the week highlighting a science researcher.
These are only two of the many websites I've discovered, and I plan to share more of these with you in my next post.

Diane, these seem like cool websites. What student doesn't like interactive web sites? I use several for Spanish, and the kids really get a lot out of them!
